Paul Underwood notches up the next SIGMA 7 victory

Australian Pilot Paul Underwood wins the Sport Class of the Rat Race in Woodrat Mountain, Oregon USA.
 
It was an incredible competition with 6 consecutive days of racing and some epic conditions for Woodrat Mountain. The 7th day was cancelled after many pilots were shot off the launch pad to over 13,000 feet where they encountered strong winds. Many people broke and then re-broke the site altitude record.
 

ALPHA HIKE Test report in Thermik Magazine

Plenty of mountain walkers, trekkers and pilots who travel already relish the HIKE’s qualities, and now the Thermik Magazine tester has been well and truly bowled over by this lightened wing.

Christian Besendorfer tested the ALPHA 4 HIKE 25 for some time, and if you read his test report you may not be able to resist the urge to try it out for yourself.

Great prospects at the Advance Importer Meeting 2009

Importers from all over the world joined our meeting at Grindelwald First and had a great time!
Talking technicalities with Thomas Ripplinger, flying with Chrigel Maurer, Andy Aebi, Judith Zweifel and Kari Eisenhut, and finding out what’s special about the new Basic Intermediate from ADVANCE. These and many more were the topics of our importer meeting at Grindelwald First.

Mikhail Vavilov wins Lithuanian Open Accuracy competition 2009

Success for Latvian Sigma pilot Mikhail Vavilov in the open event, “Trakai 2009”, at the Lithuanian FAI Cat 2 Accuracy Championships held on 14-16 February 2009.
 

Run of Successes Continues

Heli Eichholzer, Stefan Sindelka and Orlin Dimov add to the list of ADVANCE competition successes.

Heli Eichholzer is Austrian champion (Open class) Stefan Sindelka is Austrian vice champion (Serial class) and Orlin Dimov wins the Skynomad Open in Sopot.

More ADVANCE success in the 2008 Russian Open

The 2008 Russian Open Paragliding Championship ended on July 31st with Advance Omegas taking equal first and second places. Advance also won the manufacturers’ team prize with the help of Alexei Peregudov (RUS – Omega 7) who was fifth.

Record flight in Norway and long XC flights in Switzerland

Arne Kristian Boiesen and Daniel Bjørkås push the limits to a new dimension in Norway, and Thomas Koster makes two flights of over 250 km.
