160k in the UK - To the coast!

John Stevenson of the UK recently accomplished a dream of his and many other UK pilots: a flight of 160km from the Lake District all the way to the east coast.

New records!

Not just the birds were demonstrating increased activity on the first day of spring. Reliable Laura Turner has beaten three world female records on that day, taking her Synthesis on closed circuits 15/25 and 50 km (speed) and distance over a closed circuit. In addition, Michel Carnet proved to be no less dependable, achieving mean speed of 51,9 km/h over a closed circuit of 100 km.
So far these are just claims, with their verification pending.

Polish Pilots Pushing The Limits!

Recently two Polish pilots made some impressive flights in their home country, flying Ozone Mantras.

First 100km FAI triangles in Beskidy Mountains

2nd July was an extremely succesful day for XC-pilots of Beskid Śląski, especially for Filip Jagła, for several years flying competition Air-Sport paragliders.

All systems go for Wendelin Ortner

Red Bull’s Hangar-7 (at Salzburg airport) was the perfect location to hand over the brand new speed glider to Wendelin Ortner, six-times winner of the Dolomite Man Competition.

Robert Pré flies 208 km

This year’s spring has not been very easy for us paragliders. Good conditions and high ceilings had been a rare sight. I am glad that with my STRATUS 7-22 I was able to use one of the better days to do a superb 208 km long out-and-return flight over the breathtaking landscape of the northern Alps.
