Ozone Chabre Open 2008 results

The competition is Finished.
Below are the results and report.

112 pilots from around the globe came to the fourth Ozone Laragne Open. The build-up to the week was wet and stormy and it looked like there would be no tasks at all for the event, as the forecast was wet, wet, wet.

Belgian Open: results

The weather forecast for the coming days is bad, a lot of rain is expected. Therefore the organization decided to end the competition and close it with the prize ceremony.

Task1@Belgian Open

First day of the competition and it promises to be hot today ... so much that we probably will get some over development.

Therefore the Task Director decided to have an early start from Clamontard.

Gin and Jerome Maupoint visit Nepal

Gin and renowned paragliding photographer came to Nepal this season to
test new wings, fly with our birds and to hopefully get some great
shots. Well it couldn't have been more successful. The weather was
perfect, the birds were incredible and Jerome got some of the most
amazing pictures. It was a great opportunity to finally meet Gin and
for him to fly with the birds.

Nova Team Meeting at Achensee

Last weekend almost the whole NOVA TEAM
was meeting at the Achensee for discussing some topics, but mainly for
flying together. Our new MENTOR was the center of attraction.
Especially our pilots, who competed with the MAMBOO in the OLC were
quite courious about the MENTOR and did a lot of glide comparisons and
also tests in quite strong thermals conditions. Their feedback and the

Hernan Pitocco is the newest leader in the world Acro ranking which
was recently updated with the results of the 2007 events. This Ranking
is defined by summing up the four best pilot´s results in the last two
years.

Wave soaring a Trango3

Sebastien
launched from the usual soaring launch near the French UP headquarter
of La Plagne, think he'd only fly around in gentle lift and evening
thermals.

A few moments later he was 1000m above the lenticular cloud
at 3750m, struggling to stay upwind but grinning from ear to ear...
